Ravichandran Ashwin shares Ravindra Jadeja’s disappointment after cheap dismissal in final Test

Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja were instrumental in India’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy victory. The spin pair crushed Australia in the first two Tests, leading India to an unassailable 2-0 lead. Incidentally, India was defeated in the third Test at Indore. Nonetheless, Team India won the series when the fourth and final Test was drawn.

Speaking to the media after the last Test, Ashwin praised his partner Jadeja, saying that playing together has improved both of them.

“It’s been a fantastic adventure. We (himself and Jadeja) began a long time ago, yet neither of us would be the same or as deadly without the other. We must recognise this; at least, I have begun to recognise this in the past 2-3 years “Ashwin said.

“He gives me a lot of flexibility to be creative with the ball, and I felt he bowled wonderfully in the Delhi Test as well, which is why we’re here today,” he continued.

During the fourth Test, the experienced spinner remembered seeing Jadeja unhappy after being out on 28 in India’s first innings.

“Jaddu (Ravindra Jadeja) keeps it extremely easy; he doesn’t fuss or worry about what has occurred, but I watched him stay in one spot for an hour after he went out, so that told me how dissatisfied he was, and it came out today,” said one source “As said by Ashwin.
