The Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set to kick off on March 31, 2023, and it’s returning to its original home-away format. The upcoming IPL season is special, as fans will be back in the stadiums to support their favorite teams. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the cash-rich league was played behind closed doors at only a few venues since 2020.
On March 9, Gujarat Titans, the defending champions, unveiled their revamped jersey for the upcoming season. The franchise took to social media to share a video highlighting the different facets of their latest jersey. The new jersey features a star mark embossed on it, while the traditional blue shade remains the same as last year’s jersey, with a slight variation in the collar.
“Proud to have a ⭐ on our jersey! The much-loved jersey is back with enhancements that display our winning attitude. Watch the jersey come alive!,” Gujarat Titans captioned the post.
Gujarat Titans made an impressive debut in the IPL last year, led by Hardik Pandya. They won ten out of their 14 group matches, eventually finishing at the top of the points table. The team defeated the Rajasthan Royals in the final to become the champions of IPL 2022 in their first-ever IPL season. They became the second team to win the IPL in their debut season.
The 16th edition of the Indian Premier League will begin with a clash between defending champions Gujarat Titans and the four-time IPL champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on March 31, 2023, at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The final of the tournament is scheduled to take place on May 28. IPL fans all around the world are eagerly waiting for the upcoming season, and the tournament promises to be as exciting as ever.
