KL Rahul is going through a rough patch. The Indian opener has failed to impress with the bat in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 against Australia. He has scored only 38 runs in three innings so far, while his teammates have dominated the hosts with two convincing wins.
But not everyone is happy with Rahul’s performance. Some former cricketers have questioned his place in the team and his role as vice-captain. Venkatesh Prasad, the former chief selector of India, even posted Rahul’s stats on Twitter and asked the team management to be fair with him.
However, one former cricketer has come out in support of Rahul. Harbhajan Singh, who was part of India’s 2011 World Cup-winning squad, took to Twitter on Tuesday (February 21) and urged everyone to leave Rahul alone.
Can we leave @klrahul alone guys ? He hasn’t done any crime. He is still a top player. He will come back strong.we all go thru such patches in international cricket.he is not the first one and last one. so please respect the fact that he is our own 🇮🇳 player and have faith 🙏

Harbhajan also shared his thoughts on Rahul being dropped as vice-captain for the remaining two matches against Australia. He said that Shubman Gill will likely open with Rohit Sharma.
India are leading the series 2-0 and will look to seal it in Indore from March 1.
