Indian cricket’s chief selector, Chetan Sharma, has found himself embroiled in a scandal after a sting operation by Zee News revealed startling revelations

Chetan Sharma, the current chief of the selection committee, has allegedly been targeted in a massive sting operation conducted by ZEE NEWS, with the organisation claiming that the chairman has made startling revelations. According to reports, Chetan discussed the use of fake fitness injections in team India, and also revealed the reason behind the fallout between India’s former BCCI chief, Sourav Ganguly, and batting maestro, Virat Kohli.

During the sting operation, Chetan claimed that the Board of Control for Cricket in India is aware of the use of fake fitness injections in the team. Additionally, he revealed that Virat Kohli felt that he lost his captaincy because of Ganguly, who served as the former BCCI president.

Moreover, the selection committee chief also addressed the relationship between Virat Kohli and the current Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma. He stated that although there is no rift between the two, there is a level of ego between them, and he likened their relationship to that of Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra.

Chetan Sharma was re-elected as the chairman of the senior men’s selection committee by the BCCI on January 7, after he was almost removed from his post following India’s dismal performance in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. The team’s unceremonious exit after a loss to England by a humiliating ten-wicket margin led to rumours that Chetan would lose his job. However, he was retained and given the responsibility to lead the selection committee in a new direction.
