Suryakumar Yadav Makes History as First Indian to Debut Across All Formats After Turning 30

In a historic moment for Indian cricket, flamboyant batsman Suryakumar Yadav made his Test debut against Australia in the first Test match at Nagpur on February 9th. Yadav is a well-known name in the world of T20 cricket and has proven his mettle in the domestic arena. After making his international debut in March 2021, he has become a dependable player for India in the shortest format of the game.

With a wealth of experience in First Class cricket, Yadav has impressed with his stats, having scored 5549 runs in 79 First Class matches. Despite this, his selection for the Indian cricket team in the red-ball format was delayed. However, the wait finally came to an end and he was given the opportunity to showcase his skills at the highest level. With this debut, Yadav has become the first Indian cricketer to make his debut in all three formats after turning 30.

In the absence of Rishabh Pant, Yadav will be expected to score quick runs in the middle order. He will be given the freedom to play his natural game and is expected to challenge the Australian bowlers with his aggressive batting style.

Alongside Yadav, wicketkeeper-batter KS Bharat also made his debut for India in the first Test against Australia. Bharat, who has played 86 First-Class games and scored 4707 runs at an average of 37.95, has been waiting in the wings for his chance to represent the national team. With vast experience, Bharat is expected to play a key role in India, especially in home conditions.

In conclusion, the debut of Suryakumar Yadav and KS Bharat marks a new chapter in Indian cricket and the team will be hoping for their contribution to be instrumental in securing a win against Australia.
