On ‘Legends Lounge,’ a JioCinema original starring legends of the game like as Suresh Raina, RP Singh, Parthiv Patel, Pragyan Ojha, Robin Uthappa, and Aakash Chopra, the Hindi panellists had another round of talk. The gang responded lightheartedly to Aakash Chopra’s rapid-fire queries.
Chopra began by asking the panel to pick the most stylish player in the IPL, prompting the discussion of KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, AB de Villiers, and Yuvraj Singh. The jury unanimously voted on MS Dhoni as the most unselfish player. Patel joked that he was the most unselfish player, stating, “I used to perform the task that was assigned to me, which was to smash hard in the first six overs and then go out and return back to the pavilion.”
When the discussion shifted to the most stylish player, Uthappa sighed. He said it was a difficult decision before settling on Virat Kohli. Chris Gayle was chosen by Ojha and Singh, while Stephen Fleming was chosen by Raina. Patel chose Lasith Malinga for his vibrant hairdo. Ojha then revealed how effortlessly trendy the Sri Lankan slinger was. “During the IPL, you could knock on his door and he’d step out in a lungi with his distinctive colourful bush of curly hair on top.”
When it came to the funniest player, several names were mentioned, with Harbhajan Singh emerging as the most popular pick. Uthappa chose to support Ambati Rayudu and Dwayne Bravo. “The funniest two-some in the IPL, in my opinion, are Bravo and Rayudu. “They were like a house on fire,” he claimed.
Chopra and Singh also spoke about how they sledged them other in First Class cricket. “They advise us to sprint in a ‘V,’ but on that day, Aakash’s ‘V’ was more towards third guy!” He made a shot and exclaimed, ‘let’s look for two runs,’ and I told him, ‘Aakash, finish the first and consider the second afterwards.'” The other panellists agreed, saying that’s when the concept for Aakashvani was born.
The presenter promptly rebutted, reminding the audience that the team he scored the most against in First Class cricket was Uttar Pradesh, against whom Singh said Chopra had upset him on that day as well.
The group then discussed their favourite stadiums in the last question. While Singh selected London’s legendary Lord’s, the others chose Indian venues such as Wankhede, Eden Gardens, Green Park, Chinnaswamy, and the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
