Heinrich Klassen, batting for Durban’s Super Giants in the present SA20 competition, wrecked havoc by smashing a half-century off only 19 deliveries. During his magnificent knock, he toyed with the Paarl Royals bowlers, hitting six sixes and a boundary.
Following the slaughter, former India international Abhinav Mukund expressed his disappointment, stating that the Royals bowlers had no strategy and no inventiveness to stop Klassen. He thought their bowling was mediocre and that all they did was feed the batsman.
“You look at their length, line that they bowled to someone like Klaasen. They know what he can do, they were just feeding him and a batsman of his stature, if he gets the balls in his zone then this is what he is going to do. That is the reason why everybody believes that this guy can just take the game away and that’s what he did. There was no innovation from the bowling side that’s what disappointed me,” said Mukund.
The Quinton De Kock-led side scored 216 runs in 20 overs thanks to his scorching knock. Klassen, 31, smashed 25 runs in the final over, propelling the Super Giants above the 200-run mark. Abhinav Mukund, who was watching the game, praised Klassen for his incredible hitting and added that the batsman ultimately proved why he is making so much money in the IPL.
