Warner vs Wade: BBL 2022-23 Heats Up with On-Field Verbal Spat

On Sunday, January 15, Australia opener David Warner and his fellow wicketkeeper-batter Matthew Wade got into a furious argument during Match No. 42 of the current Big Bash League between Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Thunder.

Warner shoved Wade during a heated altercation on the field between Thunder captain Chris Green and Hurricanes captain Matt Moore.

The event occurred at the conclusion of the tenth over, just after Green completed his second over of the period. Wade and Green were observed having a confrontation during the drinks break, which thankfully did not escalate.

One of the commentators Kerry O’Keeffe called the episode between Warner and Wade as ‘inappropriate’ and ‘unsavoury’.

After the game, Wade was spotted shaking hands with both Green and Warner, and he also chatted with Green individually. After the match, the duo appeared together for an interview with 7Cricket.

During the interview, both Green and Wade were at ease and were seen laughing about what transpired on the field.
