Bangladesh batting star Litton Das has said that sharing the dressing room with top players in the IPL 2023 would benefit his skills and mental strength. Litton was purchased by the Kolkata Knight Riders at a basic fee of INR 50 lakh.
In the IPL 2023, he will be paired with Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan. At the same time, the Dinajpur player discussed the significance of playing on a large stage like as the Indian Premier League.
“The IPL provides a massive platform where you can play high-intensity games. Sharing the dressing room with some of the biggest names in international cricket would assist me enormously, because the more you get to know them, the easier it is to pick their brains and learn a thing or two,” Litton remarked in an exclusive interview with Sportstar.
“Interacting with them will help me improve my game and build my mental strength,” he continued.
At the same time, Das said that he would want to play county cricket to enhance his skills, but that his international schedule prevents him from doing so.
“I am absolutely considering it” (county cricket). But the issue is that we have a full international calendar and it is tough to find time for county cricket. We play all year, so if there is a gap, I will attempt to play in county cricket because I can play there for a number of seasons and it will help me develop my game,” he said.
Litton was a standout for Bangladesh in the just finished home series against India. In the ODI series, he had scores of 41, 7, and 29.
The explosive hitter produced a crucial 73 in the second innings of the last Test in Mirpur, helping Bangladesh set India a 145-run mark on a difficult pitch.
