IPL 2023 – When is the IPL 2023 Tournament scheduled to start?

The IPL 2022 was a huge success this year, with the BCCI choosing 10 teams and Gujarat Titans emerging as tournament victors. Normally, the tournament takes place during the months of April and May each year, but due to an increase in the number of games, it began earlier this year. The same might be predicted next year, with some venue changes.

According to recent sources, the 16th edition of the competition would most likely begin in the fourth week of March of next year. The tournament’s formal schedule has yet to be set, however, the home and away format has been reinstated. The amount of matches in the IPL 2023 has yet to be determined, and it will be determined by how the teams are organized. Last year, the 10 teams were divided into two groups based on the number of trophies won.

In addition, unlike the previous season, the event is expected to be staged in 10 different locations around the country. The IPL 2022 league stages were contested at four sites throughout Mumbai and Pune, with the playoffs taking place in Kolkata and Ahmedabad. The IPL 2022 final was contested between the Rajasthan Royals and the Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

According to insiders, a small auction for the IPL 2023 edition of the competition will take place in mid-December this year. The wage ceiling in the auction has been raised to INR 95 crore, and franchisees will be able to join with a minimum of INR 5 crore. Sourav Ganguly, President of the BCCI, has intimated to the 10 franchises that the auction would take place in December, and preparations have already begun among the clubs.
