Arjun Tendulkar will play for Goa in the upcoming Domestic Season
Arjun Tendulkar, a left-arm fast bowler, will play for Goa in the 2022-23 domestic season, it was announced on Thursday, August 11. He has begun training in Goa and is preparing to sign a professional deal with the Indian state for the next season. He had played two T20 matches for Mumbai.
Suraj Lotilkar, President of the Goa Cricket Association, claimed that Goa was in need of a left-arm fast bowler, and Arjun expressed interest. He went on to say that they typically choose experts and that if he meets the team’s qualifications, he would be chosen.
Arjun took two wickets and conceded 67 runs in seven overs in his two T20 outings. He also scored three runs in Mumbai’s two matches against Puducherry and Haryana. Salil Ankola, Mumbai’s head selector, said that Arjun is a gifted cricketer who needs more playing experience to establish his ability.
“We picked him for the Ranji Trophy last year but he could not make the XI. He is an extremely talented boy and all he needs is some match time so that he can prove his abilities. I hope this switch will serve that purpose,” said Salil Ankola.
Tendulkar said that Arjun needs some match action at this moment and that this transfer would increase the possibility of his son participating in more competitive games.
