Rohit Sharma praises Avesh Khan for his excellent comeback

Since taking charge as captain after the T20 World Cup in 2021, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has led his soldiers well. With a fast 33 off 16 in the fourth T20I against West Indies, the 35-year-old helped India get off to a terrific start with Suryakumar Yadav. India won the game by 59 runs after scoring 191 in 20 overs to take a commanding 3-1 lead in the five-match series.

With Avesh going for plenty in the past two games against the West Indies, India was anticipated to make a personnel change. However, the management believed in him and offered the quick bowler another chance, which he used to his advantage. The 25-year-old took the new ball and concluded with 2 for 17 in his four-over period, and Rohit was pleased with his performance.

Rohit emphasized Avesh’s skill and said that each bowler may have one or two terrible games. He emphasized the necessity of knowing a bowler’s skill set and believes that offering adequate opportunities in the playing XI is critical to success. He praised Avesh for making use of his height and praised the child.

The sixth Twenty20 International will be held on August 8 at Central Broward Park and Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida. It would be intriguing to observe whether India gives opportunities to guys on the bench who have yet to participate in the current series.
