Zimbabwe names Chakabva as captain for the ODIs against Bangladesh

Zimbabwe Cricket stated on Thursday that Regis Chakabva has been selected captain for the forthcoming ODI series against Bangladesh (August 4). Chakabva will take over as usual captain Craig Ervine is rested to heal from his previous niggles.

Sean Williams, an allrounder, will also miss the series because he has been granted time off to attend to personal concerns. Takudzwanashe Kaitano and Tarisai Musakanda have joined the 15-man team in lieu of the two veterans.

The remainder of the team is made up of players that played in Zimbabwe’s recent T20I series triumph over Bangladesh. The three-match ODI series begins on August 5 in Harare, followed by two further games on August 7 and 10 at the same venue.
