India vs South Africa T20I – Tabraiz Shamsi is pumped for the India T20Is
South Africa will face India in a five-match T20I series beginning on June 9. The Proteas have named a formidable 16-man squad for the tour, including left-arm spinner wrist Tabraiz Shamsi. Shamsi has been South Africa’s most consistent T20I bowler in recent years, and he is presently the top-ranked bowler in this shortest format of the game.
Following Imran Tahir’s departure from the squad, he seized opportunities with both hands and established his spot in the playing XI as the side’s primary spinner. He has a strong record against the Men in Blue, having taken four wickets in five T20Is at an economy rate of 7.88. However, the spinner resorted to his official Twitter account to express his gratitude for all of the benefits and opportunities he has had in his career thus far. He also expressed his enthusiasm for the next series against India.
This will be South Africa’s first T20I series since the ICC T20 World Cup last year. Shamsi had a decent competition, taking eight wickets in five matches at an economy rate of 6.36. Shamsi has played 47 T20I matches and taken 57 wickets at an economy rate of 6.74.
His greatest performance was 4/25 against Pakistan in 2021. Shamsi gained the top place for bowlers in T20Is in March 2021, and he is still there with 784 points. South Africa leads India 3-1 in International T20s played in India exclusively. As a result, Shamsi’s form would be critical to maintaining such supremacy.
