IPL 2022 Qualifier 1 – The BEST Rajasthan Royals Playing XI to face the Gujarat Titans

In their Qualifier 1 encounter of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, Rajasthan Royals (RR) will face a tough opponent in Gujarat Titans (GT). The Royals have played some good cricket throughout the tournament, and here is their chance to repeat the antics of IPL 2008 and claim the trophy.

Their task will be made more difficult by the fact that they will have to face the newcomers GT, who has been a difficult team to beat in the competition thus far. Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Shami, and Rashid Khan are in contact, and they intend to give their all to ensure that RR does not derail their plans.

Jos Buttler may not have been in top form for RR in recent matches, but skipper Sanju Samson, Ravichandran Ashwin, and young batter Yashasvi Jaiswal have all made important contributions. With the IPL coming to a finish, it is unlikely that RR will try to modify their starting XI. They would try to use the same winning combination.

Let’s take a look at the BEST Rajasthan Royals Playing XI to face the Gujarat Titans.

Opener Jos Buttler has not been in his best form in recent outings. However, the English hitter has a lot of experience batting up the order and will try to make an impression for RR in the crucial Qualifier 1. He currently leads the list of highest run-scorers this season with 629 runs in 14 matches, including three centuries and as many half-centuries.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, his partner, was outstanding against CSK in their penultimate group stage match. The left-handed batter hit 59 runs off 44 pitches for a strike rate of 134.09. In his innings, Jaiswal also hit eight fours and one six. The youthful batsman would like to keep up his good form against the Gujarat Titans.

Sanju Samson, Shimron Hetmyer, and Devdutt Padikkal solidify the middle order

The Rajasthan Royals’ middle-order, which included Devdutt Padikkal, skipper Sanju Samson, and Shimron Hetmyer, struggled to get going against CSK. Except for Samson, who scored 15 runs, nothing of the other left-handed batters reached double figures, leaving their club in a bind against CSK.

However, captain Sanju Samson and Shimron Hetmyer have both contributed crucial knocks throughout the competition. Devdutt Padikkal has also contributed a couple of useful knocks in the tournament’s second half. It will be intriguing to see if RR’s middle order can manage the strain of performing well in the playoffs and ensuring their team a delicious triumph.

Riyan Parag and Ravichandran Ashwin come in as the all-rounders

Senior player Ravichandran Ashwin was named “Player of the Match” for his crucial contribution with both the bat and the ball in their last game against the reigning champions Chennai Super Kings. Ashwin hit 40* off 23 balls and took the prized wicket of left-handed hitter Devon Conway. He hopes to repeat his success against GT in the following Qualifier 1.

Riyan Parag hasn’t had the best season in IPL 2022. However, the right-hander has been making a significant contribution with his fielding attempts. Parag stayed unblemished in his most recent outing, scoring 10 runs and hitting one boundary. Parag was the ideal foil for Ashwin, who had gone all guns blazing at the opposite end.

Trent Boult, Obed McCoy, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Prasidh Krishna form the bowling attack

Trent Boult of New Zealand was pricey in the previous encounter, but he also took one wicket for his team. He’d like to see RR get off to a good start against the Titans in Qualifier 1. Similarly, Prasidh Krishna has been doing admirably with the new ball and would be an ideal companion for Trent Boult.

Yuzvendra Chahal and Obed McCoy, both leg spinners, were brilliant in their last outing, taking two wickets each. Both Chahal and McCoy were exceedingly economical, conceding 26 and 20 runs in their entire four-over quotas, respectively. They want to recreate their success in the key match against GT because it will allow them immediately qualify for the IPL 2022 finals.
