IPL 2022 – The BEST Punjab Kings Playing XI to face the Sunrisers Hyderabad

Punjab Kings have already been eliminated from the IPL 2022 after losing 7 of their first 13 games. They have 12 points from their six victories. They will play the Sunrisers Hyderabad in their next encounter at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

SRH, on the other side, is at the same stage as Punjab and has been eliminated as well. Williamson’s team has also lost 7 of 13 games in the 15th season of the IPL. Both teams would like to finish the season on a high note in the final league encounter.

Punjab Kings captain Mayank Agarwal and the team management may make a few changes to their playing XI for their final match of the season against SRH.

Jonny Bairstow, a senior English hitter, has played a few small but blazing knocks for Punjab Kings this season. Bairstow has scored 230 runs with an average of 23 in 10 matches thus far. He has two fifties, with his best score being 66.

Shikhar Dhawan, in addition to Bairstow, has always stood up for Punjab Kings this season and is in magnificent form. He has produced some spectacular batting performances and has saved the team on numerous occasions. He has appeared in all of PBKS’s games this season, scoring 421 runs at an excellent average of 38.27 and recording three match-defining half-centuries.

Punjab’s middle order is extremely steady, thanks to players like Liam Livingstone and Mayank Agarwal. Livingstone has been outstanding for Punjab, scoring 388 runs with a strike rate of 177.98. Mayank Agarwal, the captain of the Punjab Kings, has been inconsistent in terms of scoring runs this season. He has only 195 runs in 11 innings, with a solitary half-century.

Jitesh Sharma, the wicketkeeper-batter, scored the most runs for PBKS in their last encounter against DC. He scored 44 runs off 34 balls, including three fours and two huge sixes. The team management would like him to continue his good form against SRH and finish the season on a strong note.

Shahrukh Khan and Rishi Dhawan come in as the all-rounders

This season, the all-rounders’ department has fallen short of expectations. Shahrukh Khan has only appeared in seven games this season, and his performance has been disappointing in comparison to his heroics last year. PBKS may give him a chance against SRH because they are already out of the tournament and would like to see him rediscover his form.

Rishi Dhawan, the senior all-rounder from Himachal Pradesh, struggled in the previous game, scoring only four runs with the bat and going wicketless with the ball in hand. Punjab will want to keep him for their last league encounter against SRH.

This season, the PBKS bowling department has done well. Kagiso Rabada, a senior South African pacer, has taken the most wickets for them this season, with 22 from 12 games. Harpreet Brar was costly in the last encounter, conceding 29 runs in three overs while remaining wicketless.

Arshdeep Singh has been a steady performer this season. Despite just taking 10 wickets in 13 outings, he has been frugal and has bowled efficiently in the final overs. Rahul Chahar was Punjab’s most economical bowler in the previous encounter, conceding only 19 runs in his allotted overs. He would like to add to his count of wickets against SRH.
