The BCCI has announced India’s 17-man Test squad for the fifth postponed Test against England, with Cheteshwar Pujara returning
The BCCI has named a 17-man Test squad for the fifth rescheduled Test against England. Cheteshwar Pujara has returned after being benched for the home series against Sri Lanka. He did, however, display some excellent form while playing for Sussex in the County Championship. In addition to him, Shreyas Iyer has been called up to the Test team. The fifth and final Test of the series will begin on July 1 in Birmingham.
Meanwhile, Prasidh Krishna has been recognized for his contributions, while pace wonder Umran Malik has been left out of the Test team. Sunil Gavaskar and Kevin Pietersen, among others, backed him to play the Test match in England. India presently leads the series 2-1 and has a chance to win it for the first time in a long time.
