Deepak Chahar is expected to marry his fiancée Jaya on June 1
Deepak Chahar, a pacer for India and Chennai Super Kings (CSK), is going to marry his long-term lover Jaya Bhardwaj on June 1. Last year, the right-arm bowler proposed to Jaya during an Indian Premier League (IPL) match. Jaya, Deepak’s fiancee, is from Delhi and works in a business firm.
Deepak Chahar’s father, Lokendra Singh Chahar, later said that Deepak had intended to propose to her fiancée for quite some time but had planned to do so before the IPL 2021 playoffs. However, under the guidance of CSK captain MS Dhoni, he planned the stunt during CSK’s last league encounter against the Punjab Kings.
Chahar was repurchased by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for a record INR 14 crore during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction, and he has played an important part during his time with the franchise. The right-arm bowler, though, was ruled out for the entire competition this year after suffering a back injury at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore.
Returning to his wedding, a photo of Deepak Chahar and Jaya Bhardwaj’s invitation card has gone viral on social media.
The right-arm pacer is expected to be out for the next two months after suffering a back ailment. Deepak Chahar, on the other hand, has already stated that he will return stronger. With the T20 World Cup slated for October-November of this year, Chahar is likely to try his hardest to recuperate as quickly as possible and pass all fitness tests in order to be a member of the squad and play for the national side.
In terms of international cricket, Chahar has played 20 T20Is and seven ODIs for India, taking 26 and 10 wickets respectively. In the IPL, the 29-year-old has played 63 games and taken 59 wickets at an average of 29.19. He has also taken two four-wicket hauls in the world’s toughest franchise competition. With the bat, he has scored 79 runs, the most being 39.
