IPL 2022 – The BEST Sunrisers Hyderabad Playing XI to face the Mumbai Indians

The Sunrisers Hyderabad will face the Mumbai Indians in the 65th match of the IPL 2022. SRH must win their next game against MI, who have already been eliminated from the tournament, to snap their five-match losing run. SRH will jump to 14 points if they win their remaining two games, including the one against MI, and will then have to pray that the other games go their way for them to have a shot to make the playoffs.

SRH has the needed firepower in the middle order with Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram, and the flashy Nicholas Pooran, but consistency has been a key issue. Their middle-order failed in their previous game against the Kolkata Knight Riders, and they lost, therefore all three hitters will have to strike at the same moment. While Umran Malik has been handling the speed department admirably recently, Washington Sundar and Shashank Singh will have to step up as the team’s finishers.

In this article, we are going to talk about the BEST Sunrisers Hyderabad Playing XI to face the Mumbai Indians.

Kane Williamson and Abhishek Sharma open the innings

To get their team off to a solid start, the openers will have to work their charm on the field. Abhishek Sharma has been consistent in recent contests. His ability to strike for power on the powerplay will help SRH reach a high total in the next games. So far, he has 374 runs scored with a strike rate of 134.53.

Williamson is going through a difficult time, but he must recover quickly and lead his squad to a much-needed victory. He has 208 runs scored at a not-so-impressive average of 18.90. The team is concerned about his strike rate of 92.85.

Nicholas Pooran, Aiden Markram, and Rahul Tripathi strengthen the middle order

Rahul Tripathi must prepare and deliver big knocks similar to those he delivered in the five games SRH has won this season. He was hitting the ball well in the opening half but has struggled to maintain consistency in recent outings.

Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran had some critical knocks in earlier games for the team, but their efforts were for naught as SRH typically lost. The pair are the middle-order and will need to play match-winning knocks to pull their team over the line. Both have the capacity to lead innings and provide key runs to the scoreboard.

Washington Sundar and Shashank Singh come in as the all-rounders

Shashank Singh and Washington Sundar have failed to live up to the team’s high expectations. They will have to step up to the finisher’s role to add some crucial runs towards the conclusion of an innings, either to reach a huge score or to chase down a total. So far this season, Singh has scored 69 runs, while Sundar has scored 67.

Sundar is notorious for hitting massive boundaries in the death overs, while Singh is equally capable. The two will need to rethink their batting strategy in order to keep the game steady while also picking up vital wickets when the opportunity arrives. Washington has only taken four wickets this season, while Singh has yet to take a wicket.

Marco Jansen, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan, and Umran Malik form the bowling attack

Marco Jansen has been a standout performance for SRH, and his ability to take wickets in the powerplay will be something to keep an eye on in the next game. Bhuvneshwar Kumar must take the field and demonstrate his expertise; he may also be a helpful batter further down the order.

Natarajan has been scalping wickets at a reasonable rate and would like to continue doing so. Umran Malik, on the other hand, has been outstanding so far in terms of wicket-taking abilities. His performance against KKR was fantastic, but he also conceded a lot of runs, which has been his only worry in his outings.
