India will play three warm-up matches during their tour of England

Following the conclusion of the current Indian Premier League (IPL) season, Team India will start on an incredibly demanding schedule. They will begin a five-match T20I series against South Africa on June 9, while the Test team will depart for the England tour on June 16. At the same time, it is expected that the team selected for the SA T20Is will also be named for the two-match T20I series against Ireland.

Meanwhile, before the one-off Test, India’s Test team will play a warm-up match against Leicestershire on June 24. It will be a four-day game as well as a first-class match because two Indian teams will be in play at the same time, with the T20I side meeting Ireland in Dublin on June 26 and 28.

It is also claimed that before the three-match T20I and ODI series against England, India’s white-ball team will play two warm-up matches. Warm-up games against Derbyshire and Northamptonshire are expected on July 1 and 3, respectively. The T20I series between India and England will begin on July 7, with the ODIs beginning on July 12. The single Test will be held in Birmingham from July 1 to 5.

Rahul Dravid, India’s head coach, is overseeing all preparations for the upcoming tours to Ireland and England in collaboration with the BCCI management and selection committee. The selectors face a more difficult challenge in selecting a pool of players, as they did for Sri Lanka and England tours last year. The squads for the South Africa T20Is, England Test, ODI, and T20Is are anticipated to be named next week.

Team India’s juggernaut continues as they go to the West Indies and the United States for a white-ball series before competing in the Asia Cup, which begins in the last week of August.
