Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the IPL 2022 due to injury
Ravindra Jadeja has been declared out of the rest of the Indian Premier League. On Wednesday, the India all-rounder left the Chennai Super Kings.
Last Sunday’s game against the Delhi Capitals was Jadeja’s last (May 8). On Thursday, CSK will face the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium (May 12). On May 15, they play Gujarat Titans at the Wankhede Stadium, followed by a match against Rajasthan Royals on May 12.
“He has an injury on his rib which he sustained during our match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (on May 04). We have only two games left and given his heavy international commitments, we thought he should not risk further injury,” said Kasi Viswanathan, the CEO of the franchise.
Meanwhile, it is thought that the national team administration had no prior knowledge of the ailment, which adds to the uncertainty surrounding Jadeja’s withdrawal from the bubble. Even after being informed about the injury, the national selectors did not appear to be aware of it. Chetan Sharma, the chief selector, did not react to a question.
