IPL 2022 – Mumbai Indians vs Kolkata Knight Riders Match 56 Dream11 Predictions, Lineups and more

The Mumbai Indians will face the Kolkata Knight Riders in a thrilling match at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai. Both teams haven’t had the best of starts to the season, and KKR is on the edge of joining MI as the only clubs that have given up on making the IPL 2022 playoffs. Despite a poor start, the Mumbai Indians have won their past two games and will undoubtedly seek to conclude the season on a good note.

The Kolkata Knight Riders, on the other side, started the campaign well, but have since gone on a losing streak, with six losses in the previous seven games. With only four wins in 11 games, KKR does not have much time to rethink its strategy and will need to deliver its A-game shortly. The combo of Aaron Finch and Baba Indrajith at the top isn’t working, so they’ll likely bring in Ajinkya Rahane and Sam Billings to provide steadiness.

The match is scheduled to take place on the 9th of May, 2022 at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai.

Mumbai Indians vs Kolkata Knight Riders Match 56 – Players to Watch

Shreyas Iyer

The season has blown hot and cold for the KKR skipper who knows now that he needs to win this game in order to stay in the playoff conversation. Runs have not come easily to him, but when he has dug deep, he has produced those long, useful innings. The Mumbai Indians have now won two games on the trot and will be looking to bring this winning momentum against vulnerable KKR side and the team will be counting on their skipper to lead from the front.

Andre Russell

He has been one of the more dependable players in the KKR camp this season and despite being one of the senior members of the team, he is clearly one of the most active players on the pitch. In the past, he has been very nifty with the bat and ball, but off late, he has focussed on his batting and has transformed into more of a batting all-rounder. His presence down the order is critical for KKR and we expect him to be very impactful against the Mumbai Indians.

Suryakumar Yadav

Suryakumar Yadav has been the most consistent player for the Mumbai Indians this season. He was caught for 13 in the previous game and will be eager to make up with a big score. The right-hander has 303 runs in eight games for the Mumbai Indians this season and will be crucial to the franchise’s success. The fact that he can play anywhere in the batting order will be good for Rohit Sharma, who has himself started to show signs of form.

Murugan Ashwin

He started off the tournament well, but has faded off since and despite getting the backing from his captain, has not been able to deliver those wickets. He can be very economic, but what the Mumbai Indians need is wickets and we trust him to back himself and come good against the Kolkata Knight Riders.
