IPL 2022 – The BEST Gujarat Titans Playing XI to face the Punjab Kings

On May 3, the Gujarat Titans will face the Punjab Kings in IPL 2022 Match 48 at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai. Gujarat would be confident going into this match after defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore in their previous match, giving them their eighth win in nine games. They now have a total of 16 points.

While Gujarat Titans have been on a roll in recent matches, they will not make any changes to their starting XI and will instead deploy the same XI that has provided them success thus far. With one more win, the Gujarat-based franchise will almost certainly secure a playoff spot.

In this article, we will look at the BEST Gujarat Titans playing XI to face the Punjab Kings.

Wriddhiman With two strong outings, Saha appears to have recovered his rhythm on the 22-yard line. Saha followed up his quickfire 38-ball 68 with an important 29 against RCB. The seasoned stumper would like to put on even greater performance and play a significant role in creating a solid foundation for his team.

Shubman Gill, on the other hand, may not have translated his good starts into big scores in the previous two games, but he did play a significant role in helping GT get off to a good start in both of their run chases, which they subsequently won. This time, the child would be eager to play a game-changing role.

Gujarat Titans have perhaps the strongest middle-order in the tournament, which has helped them win so many games. Sai Sudharsan, a newcomer, has scored 66 runs in three games and provided a 14-ball 20 against RCB, which proved to be a crucial knock for the Titans.

David Miller has played an important part for Gujarat on a few occasions, helping the team end the proceedings in style. The Proteas middle-order sensation has 276 runs from nine games, with 39 runs from 24 deliveries in the most recent game keeping him unblemished. Rahul Tewatia has been the Titans’ savior on numerous occasions this season. In fact, he was the match-winner in their last two matches against SRH and RCB. His undefeated 43 off 25 balls ruined RCB’s chances of a much-needed win.

So far, he has 308 runs at an average of 51.33 and a strike rate of 135.68, with three half-centuries. The star all-rounder has not been at his best since missing the CSK match due to injury.

Rashid Khan, on the other hand, has made a handful of match-winning cameos and is one of Gujarat’s primary cornerstones in their lineup. Meanwhile, the Afghan leggie has been one of their standout bowlers, with nine scalps in as many outings at an economy rate of 7.11.

While Lockie Ferguson has been hitting over 150 kmph, the New Zealand pacer has only taken one wicket in the last two games combined.

Mohammed Shami has been the Gujarat Titans’ most consistent bowler, with 14 wickets in nine appearances. In the next game, he would try to move up the Purple Cap list. While Caribbean pacer Alzarri Joseph did dismiss Mahipal Lomror in the previous game, he was GT’s most costly bowler, allowing 42 runs at a 10.50 economy rate.
