IPL 2022 – The BEST Rajasthan Royals Playing XI to face the Kolkata Knight Riders

The Rajasthan Royals will face the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 47th match of the IPL 2022 at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. Rajasthan has had a solid season so far, putting up some tough fights against their opponents. RR has six victories from nine games played, keeping them in the upper half of the points standings.

After losing to the Mumbai Indians on Saturday evening, the Royals will seek to return back to winning ways and find some recompense for the setback. If Devdutt Padikkal regains his form and assists Jos Buttler, the team’s top-order partnership has the potential to be lethal. The middle-order will need to improve on staying on the field for an extended period of time and putting some important runs on the board.

Let’s take a look at the BEST Rajasthan Royals Playing XI to face the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Jos Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal To continue as openers

Jos Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal are a dynamic duo who have established themselves as strong starters for the teams they have previously represented. Padikkal was moved up the order after Yashasvi Jaiswal failed to perform, and he has appeared at ease thus far in the event.

Despite the fact that both players struggled in their previous game, Buttler scored a 52-ball 67 and has now struck three centuries to become the Royals’ most valuable player. While he looks to maintain his good form, Padikkal will be expected to stay with him for the whole of the game.

Sanju Samson, Daryl Mitchell, and Shimron Hetmyer add stability and depth to the middle order

Samson, the wicketkeeper-batter and captain of the side, has come up with some strong cameos in the last few games after being provided an ideal platform by the openers. He has some good runs in the top order, but he fails to go long in the game. His quickies are useful, but some fine knocks would be an added benefit to the squad.

Daryl Mitchell was just added to the team and as a result, has not been able to contribute many runs with the bat. He adds a wealth of experience to the team, which he will be expected to put to use when he steps onto the pitch. If the Royals are able to settle into the game, Mitchell’s quick-fire runs will be a huge help. Hetmyer has a 58.25 average and a strike rate of 159.59 in nine games so far. He has effectively strategized his game and, on occasion, added the final touches to the team’s scoreboard.

Riyan Parag and Ravichandran Ashwin come in as all-rounders

Riyan Parag was able to bring up his first IPL half-century this season as he hammered an unbeaten 56 against the RCB after the top and middle-order failed to add many runs. He subsequently failed to score runs in his most recent game versus MI, although he can still be a valuable member of the club.

Ravi Ashwin has been one of the Royals’ most effective acquisitions, and he has even batted in the team’s top order. His bat and ball strategies are just what the team needs in the middle, as Ashwin has the capacity to pick wickets and add critical runs.

Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Kuldeep Sen form the bowling attack

RR has struggled for some years to find a successful bowling combo. This year, though, the situation is absolutely the opposite. Their bowling assault can be a nightmare for opposing batters. The bowlers have done an excellent job of limiting the opposition to low totals while also saving the game for the team in the death overs.

Trent Boult and Prasidh Krishna have been an excellent powerplay combination, providing regular breakthroughs and putting the opposition under pressure by keeping them to a low total in the first six overs. Kuldeep Sen, the team’s new member, has proven his worth as a death bowler.

The spin-bowling combo of Chahal and Ashwin has done wonders for their team, with the former winning the Purple Cap this season for taking the most wickets. Chahal’s best performance came against the Kolkata Knight Riders when he took three wickets and transformed it into a five-wicket haul. This time, he’s been the skipper’s go-to bowler.
