The 26th match of IPL 2022 will be played on Saturday between Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants. Mumbai has lost all five of their games so far and is now ranked last in the rankings. They’ve struggled to field even four players overseas, and they haven’t found the proper combination. This is an important game for them, and a loss may spell the end of their season. Lucknow, on the other hand, lost a nail-biter by three runs against Rajasthan in their last encounter, dropping to fifth place in the points standings.
The match has a lot going for the Mumbai Indians and they must get their playing XI perfectly in order to get that elusive victory and get their season under way. The match is scheduled to take place on the 16th of April, 2022 at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.

Mumbai Indians vs Lucknow Super Giants Match 26 – Players to watch
Suryakumar Yadav
He is currently the only player in the Mumbai Indians camp who is actually doing something to try and make the team win a game. His return from injury came as a welcome gift to the Mumbai squad and with 163 runs scored in 3 matches, he truly means business and in this game against the Lucknow Super Giants, his contribution will be absolutely critical.
Jasprit Bumrah
In the last match, he seemed to be regaining his old line and length and despite claiming just one wicket, he looked a lot more confident and in sync. The wicket will be aiding the bowlers and we expect Bumrah to pick up a bunch of wickets against the Lucknow Super Giants.
Quinton de Kock
The ex Mumbai Indians wicket keeper batsman has been absolutely on song for the Lucknow team and is one of the best transfers of the IPL this season. Mumbai is clearly missing his contribution at the top and the fact that Quinton knows some of the bowlers in the Mumbai camps makes it a bigger headache for the Rohit Sharma-led side to handle. So far in the tournament, he has scored 188 runs from 5 matches and he will be looking to score a lot more in this game.
Avesh Khan
He is currently the best bowler in the Lucknow Super Giants with 8 wickets from 5 games and althought he has been punished for some runs by the other teams, the spark is still there and he is getting better with each passing game. We expect to see him open the bowling attack and then return again to castle the Mumbai batters in the death overs.
