Harshal Patel, RCB pacer, exits his bio-bubble following the death of a family member
Harshal Patel, the Royal Challengers Bangalore fast bowler, has left the team’s camp following the loss of a family member. Harshal learned about the incident during Royal Challengers Bangalore’s seven-wicket victory over Mumbai Indians on Saturday (April 9). He then exited the team’s bio-bubble to rejoin his family. It is unknown who died in Harshal’s family.
It’s worth noting that Harshal has been an integral part of the RCB team since last season, and his IPL record is also rather impressive. He was also vital in RCB’s victory over MI, conceding only 23 runs in his four overs and taking two wickets. According to sources, he will re-enter the IPL biosphere prior to RCB’s next assignment against Chennai Super Kings on Tuesday (April 12).
As a consequence, RCB have won three of their last four matches and are presently third in the team rankings. Harshal got the Purple Cap last season after taking 32 wickets in the IPL 2021. Given his strong start to the season, the 31-year-old has incredibly high expectations.
Apart from Harshal, Wanindu Hasaranga, Dinesh Karthik, and Virat Kohli have all performed admirably for RCB this season. Apart from his bat talk, new skipper Faf du Plessis has impressed with his leadership abilities. Thus, it will be intriguing to watch whether the Bangaluru-based team can finally claim the coveted crown or whether the wait will continue.
