IPL 2022 – Chennai Super Kings vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Match 17 Dream11 Predictions, Lineups and more

On Saturday, the defending champions Chennai Super Kings will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 17th match of the IPL 2022. Super Kings are in a precarious position right now, having lost all three of their matches. Even though they batted second in their last match, they were unable to chase down the mark against Punjab Kings’ inexperienced bowling attack, suffering a 54-run defeat. They must take a different approach if they are to secure their first points on the board.

On the other side, Sunrisers Hyderabad had a fantastic opportunity to defeat Lucknow Super Giants in their last encounter, but they lost wickets at critical stages, denying them their maiden point. Without a doubt, they have experts in death bowling in the form of Natarajan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, but they lack finishers with the bat who can help them win games.

Both the teams will be looking to get their first win of the tournament today and the match promises to be a blockbuster.

The game is scheduled to take place on the 9th of April, 2022 at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai. (Timing 3:30 PM IST)

Chennai Super Kings vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Match 17 – Players to watch

Ruturaj Gaikwad

Last season’s orange cap holder has not had the best of starts for the Chennai Super Kings this season, having scored just the 2 runs from the three games that he has played for the side. His presence in the opening salvo is critical for the CSK to build their innings and with the Sunrisers bowlers not really firing on all cylinders, he can capitalise and put in a big performance, ideally helping his side win its first match of the ongoing tournament.

Chris Jordan

He is one of the most lethal bowlers in the T20 format and is very well known for his deadly yorkers in the death overs. If he can control his line and length and adapt his bowling to the prevalent conditions, we expect to see him absolutely dismantling the Sunrisers’ batting attack. In the recently concluded match against the Punjab Kings, Jordan scalped two wickets and there is definitely more where that came from.

Nicholas Pooran

In the game against the Super Giants, Pooran showed signs of his true explosive self, but ended up losing his wicket after scoring 34 runs. He is definitely one of the best T20 players in the world right now and the Sunrisers will need him absolutely firing in order to get to those big totals.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar

He was in great form before the IPL, but it looks like its back to square one for the T20 specialist as he has struggled to make a lasting impact in the tournament. It is still early stages in the tournament, so he does have time to adjust to the conditions and come into his own, and with the Chennai batters currently struggling for form, this game is a perfect platform for him.
