Ravi Shastri suggests that Hardik Pandya can claim his spot in the Indian team if he can maintain full fitness

Former India head coach Ravi Shastri believes Hardik Pandya, if totally fit, can stroll into the Indian team. Since the T20 World Cup last year, the all-bowling rounders have been a talking point. Hardik did not play competitive cricket following the huge event, instead of focusing on his health. Shastri observed him bowling ahead of the Gujarat Titans’ game against LSG and concluded that he has worked hard to restore his fitness.

Hardik Pandya’s fitness will be critical for India as the T20 World Cup is due to take place in Australia later this year. Interestingly, in the present Indian Premier League, the Titans captain bowled at full throttle on Monday (March 28) and although he did not take a wicket and ended up conceding 37 runs, the 28-year-old bowled his entire quota of overs, which is a promising indication for Indian cricket.

Hardik Pandya will not have to worry about his spot in the side if he is fully healthy and bowling well, according to Ravi Shastri. He also described the all-rounder as a “full package” and praised his bowling abilities. In terms of the IPL, Shastri believes that it is critical for stars like Hardik to stay fit and play the entire season in order to maintain a high level of entertainment.
