According to Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav has a sense of comfort when playing for the DC camp

The Indian Premier League 2022’s second match pitted Delhi Capitals against five-time champions Mumbai Indians. Delhi won the game by four wickets, and if there was one player whose rousing recovery was universally acclaimed, it was Indian wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav. Yadav put the demons of the past behind him to perform at his best in DC’s season opener, taking up three wickets and surrendering only 18 runs in four overs.

Axar Patel, another spinner, stepped up to discuss Kuldeep’s success and stated that the wrist-spinner felt secure in the DC camp. Yadav believes he will get game time, which he did not have in the previous two seasons of the IPL, Patel observed.

It’s worth noting that Kuldeep Yadav hasn’t had a season to remember over the last two seasons, as he didn’t play a single game for KKR in 2021 and was eventually forced out due to injury. On the other side, he had the ball in hand for just five games in IPL 2020, and Varun Chakravarthy was favoured over him in the KKR hierarchy.

The UP spinner was selected by Delhi Capitals in this year’s IPL mega auction, and Patel continued by saying that Yadav is receiving all the assistance he may have need to perform at his best. Patel added that even during nets, his mood is boosted by players and head coach Ricky Ponting.
