Blessing Muzarabani looks set to join the Lucknow Super Giants for this season

Blessing Muzarabani, a Zimbabwe fast bowler, is expected to play in the Indian Premier League for the first time in the upcoming season (IPL). He will join the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) either as a substitute for Mark Wood or as a net bowler. Although no formal confirmation has been received, it is expected that he would be in India shortly to join the Lucknow franchise.

The Indian Ambassador’s official Twitter account in Zimbabwe verified the news of the fast bowler’s departure for the lucrative league in India. It’s unclear whether Muzarabani is a replacement or is coming in as a net bowler.

Taskin Ahmed, a Bangladesh pacer, has been recruited by LSG to replace Mark Wood in their line-up. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) refused Taskin’s request because the team’s South Africa trip is presently underway. He is currently playing in the ODI series against the Proteas and will also play in the Test series. Furthermore, the BCB did not issue him the NoC for the IPL 2022 because of the upcoming home series against India.
