Asif Afridi and Mohammad Haris have been picked for Australia’s One-Day International squad

Pakistan has named Asif Afridi and Mohammad Haris in their squad for the forthcoming white-ball series against Australia.

Asif was impressive for Multan Sultans in the just-completed Pakistan Super League, taking eight wickets in five games. Haris, 20, demonstrated his ball-striking talent by scoring 166 runs in five games at an astounding strike rate of 186.5.

Both of these players have been impressive in the ongoing Pakistan Cup, leading the selection committee to include them in the squad. Haris was already named in the squad for last year’s home series against New Zealand, which was ultimately scrapped.

While a 20-man squad has been named for the three-match One-Day International series, which is part of the ODI Super League, the selectors have left out Abdullah Shafique, Imam-Ul-Haq, and Saud Shakeel for the lone Twenty20 International.
