Pakistan release their limited-overs squads for the upcoming series against Australia

Pakistan Cricket Board has announced its limited-overs squad for the Australia ODI and T20I series. Asif Afridi, who has no prior international experience, has been named to both the ODI and T20I squads. Mohammad Haris, a wicketkeeper, is also included in the Pakistan squad.

Babar Azam, the batting talisman, will captain both the ODI and T20I teams. Additionally, Mohammad Nawaz, a left-arm spinner, has been named to the squad. However, Nawaz has not fully healed from his foot injury. Pakistan will face the visitors in three One-Day Internationals and one Twenty20 International. While the ODI series is scheduled to commence on 29th March 2022, the series’ sole T20I match will take place on 5th April 2022. All games will be held at Rawalpindi’s cricket stadium.

Pakistan is currently playing Australia in a three-match Test series. After two Tests, the score is 0-0. Pakistan was assigned a target of 506 to win the second Test match, or they would have to play more than five sessions to gain a draw. Babar Azam starred with a 425-ball 196 as Pakistan closed their second innings on 443/7 and salvaged a draw.
