New Zealand has named their ODI and T20I squads for their home series against the Netherlands. Tom Latham will be the captain

New Zealand has confirmed their squad for their forthcoming home series against the Netherlands, which will consist of three One-Day Internationals and a single Twenty20 International. As many as 12 frontline players, including regular captain Kane Williamson, will miss the series to compete in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2022. As a result, Tom Latham has been named captain, and the wicketkeeper-batsman now has much to show.

Meanwhile, the white-ball series begins on March 25 and concludes on April 4. Kane Williamson, Trent Boult, Mitchell Santner, Devon Conway, Daryl Mitchell, Lockie Ferguson, Tim Southee, Adam Milne, Tim Seifert, James Neesham, Finn Allen, and Glenn Phillips are among the 12 players who will miss the Netherlands series ahead of the IPL 2022, which runs from March 26 to May 29.

Due to the absence of several key players, the New Zealand board has given their debut call-ups to Michael Bracewell and Dane Cleaver, who has been impressive in domestic cricket recently. Ish Sodhi, Martin Guptill, Ross Taylor, and Kyle Jamieson are also in fine form for the side. It’s worth noting that this will be Taylor’s final assignment in international cricket, and he’d like to leave on a strong note.
