The Gujarat Titans have unveiled their new official jersey ahead of the 2019 season

On March 13, the Gujarat Titans debuted their new uniform at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The blue jersey boasts a unique and eye-catching design. The Gujarat Titans will be eager to make an impression in the forthcoming IPL 2022, which will begin on March 26 and will be their first appearance at the prestigious event. This season will include a total of ten teams, including the Titans and the other newcomer, the Lucknow Super Giants.

After star all-rounder Hardik Pandya abandoned his participation to spend time with his family, the Gujarat-based club has replaced explosive opener Jason Roy with Afghanistan wicketkeeper-batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz. Just over two weeks before the IPL 2022 season begins, the new franchise has made yet another important announcement.

After paying INR 15 crore to skipper Hardik Pandya and the same amount to Afghanistan leggie Rashid Khan, the Titans entered the IPL 2022 big auction in Bengaluru last month with a purse of INR 52 crore. Before the major auction, the Titans selected Shubman Gill (INR 8 crore).

They landed Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Matthew Wade (INR 2.40 crore), Rahul Tewatia (INR 9 crore), South African middle-order sensation David Miller (INR 3 crore), veteran stumper Wriddhiman Saha (INR 1.90 crore), West Indies pace sensation Alzarri Joseph (INR 2.40 crore), New Zealand pacesetter Lockie Ferguson (INR 10 crore), senior India fast bowler Mohammed Shami (INR 10 crore) at the auction (INR 6.25 crore).

The Gujarat Titans are set to put in a strong showing in the 15th edition of the cash-rich competition, with ample depth in their roster following some clever signings during the two-day event in Bengaluru. On March 28, the Hardik Pandya-led team will face the Lucknow Super Giants at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai to begin their IPL 2022 campaign.
