Rohit Sharma intends to use Jadeja for more than just the batting

In the just-finished first Test against Sri Lanka in Mohali, Ravindra Jadeja was at his all-around best. While the southpaw smashed a magnificent 175 in India’s first innings, he took nine wickets overall in the contest. As a result, the game was completed in three days, with India winning by an innings and 222 runs. Needless to say, Jadeja was named Player of the Match and is earning accolades from all quarters.

Skipper Rohit Sharma is also really happy with Jadeja’s remarkable performance, which he expressed following the match. Extolling the southpaw’s virtues, the 34-year-old stated that he wishes to utilize him more with the bat.’ Notably, the all-batting rounder’s average has improved in recent years. Rohit is also well aware of this, as he wishes for the all-rounder to continue making important contributions to the batting department.

Notably, Jadeja made a handful of scorching cameos while batting up the order against Sri Lanka in the just concluded T20I series. Rohit stated the same thing, indicating that the southpaw was open to a promotion in the batting order.
