Five practise grounds have been identified for IPL 2022, with teams expected to begin training on March 14th

The IPL 2022 will take centre stage in a few weeks, as five practise locations have been chosen, and the teams are expected to begin practising on March 14 or 15. The sites that have been identified so far include the MCA ground in suburban Bandra Kurla Complex, the MCA ground in Thane, the Dr DY Patil University ground and a football pitch, the CCI (Cricket Club of India), and the Reliance Corporate Park ground in Ghansoli.

The league stages of the present Ranji Trophy 2021-22 season conclude on March 6th, and players selected for the IPL are expected to travel to Mumbai by March 8.

They would be subjected to an RT-PCR test 48 hours before their arrival in Mumbai, as well as 3-5 days of quarantine before entering their individual bio bubbles. The ten-team competition will begin on March 26 with 70 league games in Mumbai and Pune.

More than ten hotels in Mumbai have been chosen, plus two in Pune. It should be remembered that Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium and DY Patil Stadium will each host 20 games, while Pune’s Brabourne Stadium and MCA International Stadium will each host 15 games.

The tournament will begin with a match between the defending champions Chennai Super Kings and the runners-up Kolkata Knight Riders at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.
