IPL 2022 – 5 uncapped Indian Players to Watch out for this season

Over the years, the Indian Premier League has produced a number of talented players. The Pandya brothers, pace sensation Jasprit Bumrah, and emerging players like Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devdutt Padikkal are also examples of this. Some of the players who were formerly unknown to Indian cricket fans are now household names. The IPL is becoming increasingly competitive.

A few uncapped Indian cricketers are on the radar and have a chance to play in the upcoming T20 World Cup. Without Indian domestic cricketers, the IPL would never be the same. They are the ones that stand to gain and have nothing to lose. Now that the IPL has expanded to ten clubs, viewers will be able to see more homegrown talent in action. Here are the five uncapped Indian players to watch out for this season.

Number 1. Shahrukh Khan

He was a player whose name raised a lot of eyebrows during the 2021 auctions, and as fate would have it, his first team was none other than the actor Shahrukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders. He was subsequently released from the team and thereby was a part of the mega auctions, where he was picked up by the Punjab Kings for a sizeable nine crores.

Because Hardik Pandya has ongoing fitness difficulties, the Indian cricket team is in desperate need of a finisher following MS Dhoni. Shahrukh Khan could be drafted into the Indian squads by the selectors. Indian selectors have already taken his name into consideration when selecting sides for the bilateral series. Shahrukh Khan is on the verge of earning his first international cap for India.

Number 2. Kartik Tyagi

Kartik Tyagi is a young man who is still learning with each game he plays. In the 2022 season, Kartik Tyagi will play for Sunrisers Hyderabad. The Sunrisers have always had a good bowling lineup, and he will thrive in this franchise. He’ll spend time with people like Bhuvneshwar Kumar, from whom he’ll learn a lot. He piqued the interest of both Delhi and Chennai.

Tyagi, along with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ravi Bishnoi, will represent India at the 2020 U19 World Cup. Kartik has performed admirably in his home state of Uttar Pradesh. He has also played for Uttar Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy, and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He is a potential fast bowler with a lot of talent.

Number 3. Rahul Tewatia

Tewatia is not exactly the youngest of the lot, but there is some serious talent in his being. During his time with the Rajasthan Royals, he was very impressive. Tewatia, on the other hand, has been selected by Gujarat Titans to play for them in the 2022 season. Rahul is a Haryana-based left-handed aggressive hitter who also bowls strong leg-spin. He has put in some strong performances for both the Jaipur-based franchise and Haryana.

The 28-year-old has appeared in 48 IPL games, scoring 521 runs and picking up 32 wickets. He had been called up to the Indian Cricket Team for the 2021 home series against England, however, he was ruled out due to a niggle. Gujarat Titans had no reservations in bidding for him and were successful in acquiring him for their club.

Number 4. Abhishek Sharma

Punjab’s multi-dimensional cricketer is a talented athlete. Abhishek has consistently performed admirably for every team he has been a member of. He was just selected Punjab’s captain for the 2022 Ranji Trophy season. The Hyderabad-based team has decided to persist in him and would want him to help the team win games this season and in the future.

Abhishek was part of the Indian team that won the U19 World Cup in 2018. As a captain for India, he won the Emerging Asia Cup before to that tournament. He is capable of performing on a large stage such as the IPL. He’s a fearless stroke player who always has the ball in his hands.

Number 5. Rahul Tripathi

Rahul began his IPL career in 2017 with the Rising Pune Supergiants. He appeared to be a bright prospect for the franchise, even impressing Indian legend MS Dhoni. After the franchise was diluted in 2018, Rajasthan Royals selected Rahul for the 2018 season. His performance for the franchise located in Jaipur was average, and everyone assumed he had lost his allure.

He’s been underappreciated in the past, but the selectors may take him into consideration this time. In the 2022 season, Rahul will play for SunRisers Hyderabad, his fourth IPL team.
