Ishan Kishan hospitalised following second T20I head injury
Ishan Kishan received a concussion during the second Twenty20 International against Sri Lanka on February 26 and was rushed to hospital in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. Lahiru Kumara was having a terrific run in the middle during India’s batting start, and he was also bowling some real pace.
Kumara delivered a half-tracker, but it broke off viciously off the pitch, and the bowler’s pace proved tough to control for Kishan, who attempted a pull shot. Kishan missed his shot, and the ball landed on the inside of his helmet’s grill. Fortunately, the batsman was up and running immediately after a glance, and the courageous youngster from Jharkhand chose to continue batting.
According to a doctor associated to the Indian squad, Kishan was taken to his hospital and a CT scan was performed to ensure that he was in good health. He also said that Dinesh Chandimal of Sri Lanka had a thumb injury during fielding and has been sent to his hospital.
