New Zealand vs South Africa 2nd Test Dream11 Predictions, Lineups and more
The two match test series between New Zealand vs South Africa is all set to conclude with New Zealand firmly in the drivers seat with a 1-0 lead. Even a draw against the Proteas here is enough for them to win their first ever test series against South Africa.
The first test match in the series was a largely forgettable affair for the South Africans, who succumbed to an embarrassing inning and 276 run defeat to the rampant New Zealand side.
In the first Test, New Zealand captain Tom Latham won the toss and chose to bowl first. Matt Henry blasted the visitors away in the first innings, taking seven wickets as South Africa were bowled out for 95 runs. Thanks to a stunning tonne from Henry Nicholls, the New Zealand hitters then put up a huge 482 on the board.
In their second essay, the Proteas batters failed to get going again, being dismissed for 111 runs. Tim Southee hit a fifer this time, breaking the back of the South African batting order.
The match is scheduled to take place on the 25th of February, 2022 at the Hagley Oval, Christchurch.

New Zealand vs South Africa 2nd Test – Players to Watch
He absolutely destroyed the South African batting order in the first inning with a 7 wicket haul and then followed it up with a 2 wicket haul in the second innings to become the man of the match in the first test. With the pitch remaining the same for the second test, we expect to see Matt pick up a bunch of wickets in the second test as well.
He steadied the ship after the New Zealand team lost quick wickets up the order, and then went on to score a massive 105 runs from 163 deliveries to help his team get to an unassailable total. He will be looking to score a lot more runs in the second test and help his team complete the whitewash.
His 3 wicket haul was one of the better things to talk about the South African bowling. The 29 year old is a fairly unknown commodity and that can work to his favour as he will attempt scalp some more New Zealand wickets in the upcoming game.
Another player who will be looking to make the most of the conditions in the second game is young bowler Marco Jansen. He is clearly in good form and is finding a consistency in his performance. The Proteas will want to unleash him and hope that he delivers a big wicket haul.
