The BCCI will look into Wriddhiman Saha’s threat incident
In the last few months, Indian cricket has seen a string of controversies. The latest episode revolves around veteran wicketkeeper-batter Wriddhiman Saha, who allegedly received a slew of insulting WhatsApp messages from a journalist. The 37-year-old, who has been omitted from the upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka, took to Twitter on Saturday (February 19) and shared a screenshot of those messages, expressing his displeasure with the treatment he received from a “so-called” journalist.
According to the most recent developments, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is calling for a “thorough investigation” into the matter to determine who is to blame. It has been learned that the case will not be closed until “every single detail” of Saha’s interview and the shared tweet is investigated. The BCCI also wants to know if any other cricketer has experienced a similar crisis.
