Faulkner leaves PSL due to a payment dispute with PCB.

The Australia all-rounder James Faulkner has withdrawn from the Pakistan Super League, claiming that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) failed to honor his “contractual agreements/payments.” Meanwhile, the PCB and Quetta Gladiators issued a joint statement dismissing Faulkner’s claims as “baseless” and stating that he would not be drafted in future PSL events.

The PCB stated that it attempted to reason with Faulkner and address his concerns, but he refused to listen. In a statement issued on Saturday (February 19), the PCB also stated that it has taken serious note of Faulkner’s misconduct, which was an attempt to bring the PCB, Pakistan cricket, and the PSL “into disrepute.”

The PCB also claimed that Faulkner had caused deliberate damage to property at the hotel where he was staying prior to his departure and that the board was obligated to pay for the damages. According to the PCB, it also received reports and complaints from immigration authorities about Faulkner’s inappropriate and abusive behavior at the airport.
