South Africa Women to tour England and play their first Test in 8 years
England women’s team is set to host South Africa and India in the summer of 2022, the England and Wales Cricket Board announced on Tuesday.
In a multi-format series, South Africa is scheduled to play a Test match after eight years, when they take on England on June 27 at the Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton. It will be the first Test match for South Africa since 2014 against India in Mysuru. The Test series will be followed by three One-Day International series and three Twenty20 Internationals.
While the ODIs will be played in Northampton, Bristol, and Leicester., the T20Is will be hosted by Chelmsford, Worcester, and Derby.
The tours of South Africa and India will sandwich The Hundred and the Commonwealth Games, to be hosted in Birmingham, in which Cricket has been included for the first time.
