Revised schedule indicates that the Day/Night match between India and Sri Lanka will take place in Bengaluru
India will take on Sri Lanka in a day-night pink-ball Test in Bangalore, beginning March 12, the BCCI confirmed along with a slight tweak to the itinerary.
Sri Lanka was due to play a two-Test series in India, which is a part of the ICC Test Championship 2021-23, and three T20Is. However, the order of the white and red-ball matches has been reversed with Mohali now set to host former captain Virat Kohli’s 100th Test match instead of the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru.
According to the reworked schedule, Sri Lanka will kick off the tour in Lucknow with the first of the three T20Is on February 24, and the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamsala will be host to the second and third, on February 26 and 27.
The first Test in Mohali will begin on March 4 and the tour will conclude with the first-ever pink-ball game between India and Sri Lanka in Bangalore, between March 12 and 16.
