IPL 2022 – Royal Challengers Bangalore Final Squad

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) invested heavily in bowlers and all-rounders. They have been very batting-heavy in the past and it looks like the management has realized that in order to have a better chance at winning the title, they need a well-rounded squad.

On Day 1, the RCB side spent a whopping sum of INR 10.75 Crore to buy back Harshal Patel. They also splashed over INR 10 Crore to procure the services of Sri Lankan Wanindu Hasaranga.

Another massive buy for the RCB side was Faf du Plessis. RCB went on a bidding war with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Delhi Capitals, but in the end, pouched the South African for a sum of INR 7 Crore. Veteran Dinesh Karthik was bought for a sum of INR 5.50 Crore, while RCB shelled out INR 3.4 Crore for newbie Anuj Rawat. Akash Deep was taken for his base price of INR 20 Lakh.

Mahipal Lomror was then pouched by the franchise for INR 95 Lakh. Overseas recruit Sherfane Rutherford was pouched for exactly 1 Crore, while Suyash Prabudesai was bought for INR 30 Lakh.

The overall squad is looking a bit more balanced than the past seasons, and if the players are managed properly, they have a great chance at going deep in the tournament.
