Ashwell Prince has resigned as Bangladesh batting coach
Bangladesh batting coach Ashwell Prince has resigned from his post with immediate effect. Bangladesh Cricket Board chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury confirmed the development today (February 9th).
Prince joined Bangladesh last year and even though he was initially signed only for the series against Zimbabwe, the BCB later decided to extend his contract that was meant to run till the T20 World Cup in Australia this year.
Prince is the second member of the Bangladesh coaching panel to opt-out of the set-up after Ottis Gibson recently decided to not extend his contract. It is understood that the BCB’s decision to employ their newly appointed batting consultant Jamie Siddons in the national set-up played a part in his decision.
