India vs West Indies 2nd ODI Dream11 Predictions, Lineups and more

The 3 match series between India and West Indies has reached its midpoint, and the home nation is one win away from clinching the series. Team India has started a new phase under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma and if the first game is anything to go by, it looks like the new skipper is trying to hit the ground running. The coordination on the pitch was refreshed and everyone seemed to be playing as a unit. They put the pressure on the Windies from the get-go and the run chase was a pretty much straightforward affair. The skipper played a fine half-century knock to help set up the run chase, and after a few quick middle-order wickets, Suryakumar Yadav helped finish things off.

The West Indies entered this series with great momentum. They had just won a hard-fought series at home against England and it seemed like they were all set to cause problems for the Indians as well. But it was not to be as the Indians pounced on them from the first ball and there was nothing that the Windies could do.

The second ODI between India and West Indies is scheduled to take place on the 9th of February at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

India vs West Indies 2nd ODI – Pitch Report

The pitch at the Narendra Modi Stadium will once again provide favourable conditions for the batters throughout the ODI match. However, there will be enough help for the spinners. Due to the late winter climate in the Indian conditions, the dew factor will once again play an important role. Therefore, picking more of batters for this India vs West Indies game will be a good option from the fantasy point of view.

India vs West Indies 2nd ODI – Players to Watch

Rohit Sharma

The new Indian skipper was in full flow in the first ODI and it looks like he is truly relishing his new role. He expertly managed his bowlers in the first innings, and when the run chase began, he led from the front and scored a useful 60 run inning that set up the base for the remaining batsmen to come in and finish the job. We expect to see Rohit continuing his form in the next game as well.

Yuzvendra Chahal

The Leg Spinner had the West Indies batsmen on ropes the entire game and along with expert planning of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, Chahal ensured that he took 4 crucial wickets and kept his team on top of the proceedings. He is suited to the conditions on this track and we expect to see him scalping a few more wickets in the second ODI as well.

Jason Holder

Holder is one of the best players in the West Indies team right now and he was also the best player for them in the first ODI. After the Indian bowlers demolished the main batting order, Holder came in and scored a useful 57 runs that helped his side get to something respectable. It was all in vain but there is no denying that Holder was the only player who could leave with his head held high.

Alzarri Joseph

The bowler from West Indies took two wickets and was the best bowler for the Windies in the first ODI. The Indian batsmen were too good for the Windies, but Alzarri made sure that he got those important breakthroughs and even made it seem as if a comeback was on the cards. He will be looking to scalp a lot more wickets and hopefully get a win for his side.
