Brad Hogg expects to see a four way battle to sign Faf Du Plessis for the IPL

Former Australian wrist spinner Brad Hogg feels that Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Punjab Kings (PBKS), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be involved in a bidding war at the IPL 2022 mega auction, which will take place in Bengaluru on February 12-13, to acquire the services of veteran Proteas batsman Faf du Plessis.

Faf du Plessis, who was the second-highest run-getter in the Indian Premier League 2021 with 633 runs under his belt, was released by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ahead of the mega auction.

The seasoned campaigner will bring oodles of experience to whichever side he ends up joining. He also has proven leadership skills having led his national team for a considerable time.

With many of the teams looking for leadership quality players for their squads, we expect to see a bidding war for players like Faf, who still has the capability of scoring runs and keeping the team together in tough situations.

The Mega Auction is scheduled to take place in Bangalore on the 12th and 13th February 2022.
